Introducing Valdorama GREEN. A New Way to Look at Wedding Photography

by on Jun.14, 2009, under Wedding & Engagement

If you’ve been following this blog closely, you might have noticed how long the list of exciting things around Valdo-Bloggo-Rama has become lately. Today I am adding one more item to that list – the Valdorama GREEN concept.

The environmental changes we are witnessing every day are unprecedented. I have always been conscious about what’s happening, but have never really had a chance verbalized it. I think now is the perfect moment for that.

It is time for urgent action, and action is required from each and every person, not just from governments and institutions.

So how does all this tie with wedding photography and what I do?

Nature’s Beauty

In my photography I strive to highlight Nature’s purity and do my very best to promote environmental awareness.  Along with the sparkling beauty of the bride, with my work I would like to be able to put a stress on the surrounding area as well.

The Valdorama GREEN Engagement Sessions and Afterglow/Artistic Post Wedding Photo Sessions are done right in Nature’s heart, showcasing its timeless beauty.  To achieve that in my wedding photography, I utilize methods used in landscape photography by such world-known photographers as Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, Art Wolfe, David & Mark Muench, Marc Adamus, to name a few.  In addition,  no harm whatsoever is done to the environment and the dress. I take extra special attention to leave only footprints behind.

All photos produced this way will be carrying a special designation– the Valdorama GREEN logo.  This logo is a sign of my pride in what I do for the environment and how much I am concerned about the future of the next generations – that of my kids, your kids, their own kids.

Witness the magic of the ocean sunrise in all its brilliant colors – while we are still able to do that. Dip under a tropical waterfall, enjoy yourself in the pristine cool waters of a mountain stream, or simply take a walk in the woods – the opportunities out there are endless. These sessions are all about the experience – together we will have a blast taking stunning wedding photos in that environment, and we’ll show everybody how much we care.

GREEN is My Philosophy and Way of Life

This concept not only affects my photography, but also my entire way of life – personal and professional. I am mindful of what I do, how I do it, and how that directly and indirectly affects the environment.

Valdorama GREEN is an ongoing and constantly evolving project – for obvious reasons. I have put together a step by step plan to live a greener way of life – as much as that is possible – and to promote environmental awareness.

From now on Valdorama GREEN becomes one of the main topics on this blog. It will represent my two tiny cents of contribution to this ever-expanding problem.

It is up to all of us to write what happens next.

The environmental changes are very serious lately. Numerous places in central Europe are under 6 feet water. The rivers are flooding the cities, and this is happening right now.
Every green initiative can help to repair the damages, or to decrease them. I wish you Good Luck in this enterprise.

Weddings can be expensive both on the bank account but also on the environment, here is an article that talks about how to save money and the environment. http://www.sierraclubgreenhome.com/featured-article/turn-your-wedding-green/

You’ve got cool ideas. I hope more people pay attention to what you do, especially now in the light of this horrible oil spill in the Gulf. Best of luck!

I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the responses that this is working for you as well.

      Thank you Monique.
